Yom Kippur is the holiest day for the Jewish people, as is said in the Torah – “Because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.” On Yom Kippur we fast, we do not eat or drink, we repent and spend the day praying.

Yom Kippur 2024/5785 begins on Sunday Tishrei 9th – 11/10/2024, at sunset

and ends the next day, Tishrei 10th – 12/10/2024 when the stars come out.
